C-Ru's COVID blues

Local rapper C-Ru (Glen Lekula) has released a single dedicated to the Covid-19 pandemic titled ‘Phatlha tsa menwana’.

Known in the rap game for his hard-hitting conscious lyrics, the Francistown wordsmith sings about life literally escaping through our fingers as the human race is forced to stay indoors in fear.

Famous for one of the most moving hip hop track’s ‘Thupa tse molelo’ featuring HT Tautona and singles such as ‘Majita’, Lekula once again shows his lyrical prowess with vernacular punchlines.

The rapper sums up the new normal and the sad realities brought about by the outbreak of Covid-19.

Rating: A steady 7/10
