Modern Tswana fashion week makes strides

Modern Tswana Fashion Week organizer, James Chikumo has expressed excitement over his mandate to promote African and Urban fashion.
In an interview with Voice Entertainment this week, Chikumo who hails from the city of Francistown said his journey into the world of fashion show and events management, although fulfilling has not been a smooth one.
“Modern Tswana Fashion Week has been here since 2017,and it specialises in fashion shows, model management and commercial projects.
Moreover, we have successfully hosted numerous fashion events such as Winter Fashion Show in 2018, My Fashion Night Out 1.0 and Vintage Made Us Fashion Show in May 2019 just to mention a few,” he said.
Chikumo further highlighted that 2020 should be a good year for them despite Covid-19 hiccups.
“We are all aware that the outbreak of Corona viruses disrupted many plans in different circles. However, we will be hosting the third edition of My Fashion Night Out in November 2020, and we are hard at work preparing for it already, because we want it to be the best,” Chikumo highlighted.
Quizzed about the response to his project, he said,”Batswana have been so supportive, and it is clear that they are in love with what we have to offer so we are going to continue working hard to give them the best fashion shows.”
