Some local artists are beginning to realise that the fight against Covid-19 is no excuse for not releasing new music.

One such crooner who appears to have got the message is an exciting newcomer, TY Thutapuo.

The 33-year-old Motswakolista has dropped his first album ‘Maf Dipopeng’ which includes a staggering 16 tracks.

Born and bred in Mahalapye, the singer features the likes of Noello, Batram, Sentence, Noxie Buddy, Many B, Beatslayer, and Obylardo.

Songs to look out for on the packed album include: ‘Basadi’, ‘Smoko’ and ‘Wame’.

Produced at Music Empire Records, ‘Maf Dipopeng’ is a throwback to the original Motswako sound made popular by heavyweights such as HHP, Tuks Senganga, and Mo’ Molemi.
