A brave night with Joyous celebration

Joyous celebration concert returns in October

Gospel concert headlined by South African musical giants, Joyous celebration is back for the 3rd year running.

Dubbed a life-changing concert, the show has been pinned for October 31st and will maintain its host venue at the UB indoor sports arena, featuring Joyous celebration alongside local acts.

Voice Entertainment caught up with the brains behind the event, Joe Manuel of Brave Heart and he said, “Every year we try and improve the event by bringing an exciting addition to the line up. This year will be no different. Last year we were blessed to have filled up the venue with over 5300 people in attendance, something which we don’t take for granted.”

Manuel also revealed that although preparations for the event have been slightly put on hold by the outbreak of the novel corona virus pandemic (COVID-19), behind the scenes planning continues.

“As you know the date has been set for October,” Manuel stated.

As part of the selection for the line up, a nationwide call for local gospel artists to compete for a spot on the stage with Joyous Celebration will soon be made.

The winner, according to Manuel, will travel to South Africa to work with Joyous Celebration in preparation for the October event.

“We had hoped that by now we would have launched the competition but plans have been delayed. In working with the group prior, the winning local act will be empowered by getting exposure on what goes on behind the scenes in preparation of a world class show,” Manuel explained.

However all is not lost. Manuel hopes to get the competition running once the Corona virus spread has subsided.

Brave Heart also has plans to launch a Gospel Icon TV show.

” We could have in fact launched it last month but the show has been postponed due to the pandemic.” Mauel said.
