Chutney Restaurant spoils lucky Voice readers

Two lucky Voice readers had an early Christmas dinner courtesy of Chutney Indian Restaurant in Francistown.

Goitseone Toteng was the winner of The Voice competition which has been running since the last week of November and his wife were treated to a sumptuous dinner on Tuesday evening.

Readers were required to collect three tokens as proof of purchase and present them at The Voice offices in Francistown to claim their vouchers.

A dinner and full body massage vouchers were up for grabs at Chutney Indian Restaurant and Thalisa Beauty Spa respectively.

An avid Voice reader Ellen Keitseope was the first to walk through The Voice door on Friday morning to claim her two vouchers for a treatment at the highly regarded beauty Spa.

Next was Toteng who arrived to claim a voucher for two at the popular Indian Restaurant.

On Tuesday evening Toteng and his wife Keamogetse dined like royalty and gladly shared the pictures with The Voice.

The couple was treated to a splendid starter of chicken lollipop, a Chinese chicken winglet.

The chicken is coated and marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, then deep fried giving it a crisp and tender taste.

“I have no idea what they put in that chicken, but it was delicious,” said Toteng about the starter.

For the main course, the couple went for mixed fried rice, mutton masala and keema naan, a popular Indian bread.

The mutton masala is known for its curry and wonderful gravy with quality and tender mutton cuts.

“The food was amazing. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone. There’s so much to choose from in their menu. I’m definitely going to come back here,” said an impressed Toteng.

The restaurant owner Sridharan Gopalakrishnan Said he was happy to host the couple and is looking forward to hosting more Voice readers.

“I’ll be here on Christmas and New Year and we have great specials for our clients,” said Gopalakrishnan adding that there’d be a 10% discount on selected dishes at the restaurant.
