HOPEFUL: Easy B set for his belated Homecoming Concert

Easy B out to restore revellers confidence

In a bid to revive the damaged reputation of the Mahalapye Home Coming Concert (HCC), which terribly flopped last year, veteran promoter and organiser Easy B is bringing the show back with a bang this Saturday at its traditional host place, the Railway stadium.

To up the ante, the 12th edition of the show introduced an exciting addition to the line up through celebrated South African star, Makhadzi of ‘Matorokisi’ fame. Makhadzi will join other South African Superstars such as Casper Nyovest, controversial DJ Heavy K, DJ Tira, Zakes Bantwini and local acts such as DJ LaTimmy, Vee Mampeezy, DJ Goveiya and DJ Kuchi just to mention but a few.

Speaking at a press conference held on Monday, the show organizer, Easy B said he was committed to make the event a whopping success. Easy B further admitted that the show concept needed new blood.

“We have been in the game for a very long time maybe it is time we inject new blood that can bring new ideas to the concept, of course with our guidance,” he said.

Easy B further beat his own drum saying; “They all learned from us. All of these successful shows you see in the country now, the organisers learned from us, from me. All of them.”

However Homecoming show does not come cheap as it was revealed that the organisers would have to part with close to a P1 million to make it happen.

“We need to regain trust of our loyal patrons. This show will have to happen no matter what. It is not even about the money we will spend. Of course costs have doubled because as you maybe aware the last show was cancelled on the day, the stage had already been set, and that is money we will not recover but that is not our focus right now,” Easy B said further adding that he is in debts because of the show.

Meanwhile Easy B refused to comment on his alleged fall out with DJ Fresh although DJ Fresh has publicly slammed Easy B, for being a conartist on social media and in various interviews.
