Kwaito superstar, Mapetla has released a single, titled, Thaba Tshweu.
The Afro-pop fused with Kwaito song is something totally different from what the gravelly-voiced artist has been known for.
Through his Petla’s Tavern, he has been releasing real Kwaito music from townships, which was made popular by the likes of Brown Dash and Brickz but this one will not only be danced to in clubs but at weddings too.
Truth be told, old school Kwaito is dying and Mapetla as a musician had to reinvent himself, and this is not a bad start at all. Martin Beatz was the producer!
