He said all proceeds from the walk go to the charity chosen by The Voice and this year Autism Botswana has been identified as the beneficiary.

“We have brought Autism Botswana on board. They are a non-governmental organisation, which we have always helped with funds. Due to Covid-19 outbreak, we were unable to fundraise hence failing to generate income to assist them. Proceeds from this year’s walk will be shared between Autism and The Voice. We encourage people to buy tickets and participate in large numbers because their efforts will make a positive impact on the lives of the less privileged,” said Moabi.

The pre-walk is a build up for their annual main event of YCare Makgadikgadi walk.

For her part, Autism Botswana Project Officer Intlafatso Evelyn Kwapa said they are a non-profit organisation aiming to improve the quality of life for people living with autism and create awareness of autism spectrum disorder.
