Producer brings new hope

Grooving in the Ghetto
Jay Black

Known as the brains behind numerous hits to come out of the second city, popular producer, Jay Black has put himself first for once, taking charge of the mic in spectacular style.

The multi-talented muso has released a diverse four-track EP, ‘Last Hope 2’ that combines Gospel, Hip Hop, and House.

Two years in the making, the odd mix works beautifully as each genre focuses on a different life situation.

If Jay Black, 35, is indeed the last hope then music fans need not worry – the industry is in capable hands, with the EP set to become one of the records of the year.

“My goal is to take Francistown to the next level as a producer and artist. I produced my Last Hope project in 2019 and I was not confident with it but one day I heard some of the songs being played in radio stations, then this year I said with or without Covid I am dropping this EP,” the dreadlocked dude told GiG.
