Last four seek Orange FA Cup final berth
The prestigious Orange FA Cup is down to its final four teams with both fixtures providing a pulsating wait for the business end of the tournament.

Gaborone United and Jwaneng Galaxy will lock horns in the opening fixture at 1545hrs followed by Masitaoka and Township Rollers at 2030hrs in the double header that’s slated for the National Stadium. Galaxy reached the semi-finals after walloping Notwane 4-1 while GU won 1-0 against Police XI.

The Money Machine go into the weekend fixture with memories of their first league defeat still fresh on their mind after losing 2-1 against BDF XI on Tuesday.

Speaking to Voice Sport Moyagoleele captain, Alphanso Modisaotsile, said losing the game was a wake up call for his team. He said they knew it was bound to happen because every team is in the competition to win it.

“It was a learning curve and we have to shift our focus to the cup competition because this one is a do or die unlike the league which is still left with many games. We are ready to play against Galaxy. They are a very good side but they also know what to expect from our side. It is not going to be an easy game, to me it is like a final before the final. The team that will take its chances and utilise them wisely on the day will go to the final. We need this cup and we are in it to win it,” said Modisaotsile.

The captain said the mood in the camp was high and that everyone was looking forward to the game. He urged Moyagoleele supporters to come in large numbers to give them morale support.
For his part, Galaxy’s Thabo Leinanyane confirmed that he will make the lineup. He was red carded in the quarter final against Notwane and there was confusion as to whether he will play this game or not.

“I have served my suspension, missed two games and the club received a letter from the association confirming that the rules allow me to play the cup game. We had thorough training during the week and we are ready for GU. All the players are available for selection except for Gift Moyo who is recovering from an injury. Our opponents are very strong, they have new players that we never played before so we need to play with caution,” Leinanyane said adding that the GU’s defence is solid and has not been easy to crack. He however said they have done their homework on how to tackle their opponents. Leinanyane said they need to deny their opponents ball possession as they are quick going forward and they need to stop them.
