The mastermind behind Motsetserepa’s latest hit single
ON THE DECKS: DJ Lyric

Local Hip Hop DJ and producer Karabo Sefhela, has collaborated with the famous comedian, Motsetserepa on a single titled ‘Tinto.’

The 23- year -old, DJ Lyric as he is popularly known has been in the music industry for sometime now but it has not been easy for him.

“I started four years ago as a deejay mostly playing in Pubs such as The Library in Kanye Village and later elevated myself to night clubs such as Mkop and Chez Nicholaz, Said Dj Lyric.

However, two years ago the young man incorporated music production in his career.

The biggest challenge about music production DJ Lyric said, is lack of equipment.

However, despite challenges in 2018 and 2019 he dropped two singles consecutively, one dubbed ‘No Days Off’ which did well in the market and another one named ‘Truth’, which featured Otriz and Maino B-dub.

Turning his focus to his latest single with Motsetserepa dubbed Tinto, DJ Lyric said he met William last year at a certain event and they decided to work together and Tinto became a start of great things for the young man.

“Tinto is a motivation for me to keep going. I am working on dropping a few singles such as Intimidating Genius featuring Dwayne Phoenix and Stax and many others, which I believe will be appreciated by music lovers,” said Dj Lyric confidently.
